Juventus-Milan Match Postponed Over Coronavirus

ROME, March 4 (Bernama) — An Italian Cup semi-final match between Juventus and Milan was postponed Wednesday over the deadly novel coronavirus outbreak, reported Anadolu Agency.

The Coppa Italia match, scheduled to be played at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, will take place at a date yet to be confirmed, the Italian Cup’s organiser, Lega Serie A, said in a statement.

On Tuesday, the head of Italy’s civil protection agency announced that the death toll in the country from the coronavirus had climbed to 79.

The global death toll from the virus, officially known as COVID-19, has topped 3,071, with more than 89,000 infected.

After declaring the outbreak an international health emergency, the World Health Organisation (WHO) last week updated the global risk level to “very high.”
