Military Flies Italian And French Covid-19 Patients For Treatment In German

Germany’s military is flying Covid-19-positive patients from France and Italy in an effort to help those countries who are struggling with health services to cope with the crisis.

An air force plane landed in Bergamo, northern Italy and return to Cologne, West Germany with six Italian patients, who are treated at various hospitals in the region. Not just that, the country has also taken in some patients from France, with an evacuation taking place from Metz to Essen.

But, what is most admired was their flying ICU plane, an Airbus A310 MedEvac use to fly the patients. The plane has a capacity of 44 beds of which 16 are for high intensive care patients and up to 25 medical staff.
