RM1 Charge At ATMs To Waived Starting Next Monday

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri at the press conference today has announced to waive the RM1 charge for all automated teller machines (ATMs).

According to him, this is to avoid congestion at the bank counters.  This execution will be effected this Monday until the end of the Movement Control Order period.

“The government, through the Finance Ministry, has decided that all banking institutions would waive the RM1 fee for withdrawals at ATMs, as we have been told that many people are still crowding banks to withdraw at counters.”

“We hope that with this waiver, the public would not need to swarm banks,” he said.
