10 Fruits You Should Never Peel

According to Malina Malkani, MS, RDN, CDN, creator of the Wholitarian Lifestyle, unpeeled fruits and vegetables may have up to 33 per cent more fibre than those without the peel. And antioxidant levels in the skins of fruits could be up to 328 times higher than those found in the flesh.

These are the foods you should never eat raw.

1. Mango skin can be eaten directly with the skins which contain high vitamins A, C, and fibre.

2. Orange peels contain Antioxidants, Vitamins C, A, and Fibre. Even if you eat it with the skin, it doesn’t matter, it also tastes sweet.

3. Lemon peels contain Calcium, Potassium, to Vitamin C. It turns out to be useful in reducing cholesterol levels and fighting Cancer.

4. Kiwi skin has a rough and hairy texture that can be consumed. The content of Fibre, Folate, to Vitamin E is quite high.

5. Banana skin feels a bit bitter, but have a lot of nutrients, such as Fiber, Vitamins B6, C, B12, to Potassium.

6. Watermelon skin is also high in nutrition because it contains potassium, vitamins A, C, to B6 and strengthens our immunity.

7. Apple’s skin can be eaten with meat. There is a Vitamin K and antioxidants that are useful to relieve respiratory problems.

8. Prickly pineapple skin can also be consumed. You can blend it, and the Bomelain content can relieve inflammation.

9. Pear skin contains a lot of nutrients and Fibre that can help the diet program, its nature is like an apple.

10. Plum skin contains high Vitamin C. Can also launch digestion, you know.
