Bathing with Cow Urine, These Are Unique Habits in Three Countries

Several wonderful places in the world have long been known for their strange practices and traditions. These customs might consider being taboo or inhumane. But those who care to look for the meaning behind these beliefs usually appreciate them, despite their strangeness.

Here are 5 of the most bizarre traits that people find attractive.

1. Rub the body with onions.

Reporting from Cultural Survival Magazine, the Dogon tribe from Mali, West Africa considers that onions have long been a plant that has an integral role in their daily lives.

The Dogon people believe that sound and aroma correlate because they both spread through the air. Therefore, they believe that good speech means good grammar and pronunciation, and a pleasant aroma.

2. Bathing with cow urine

While people have tried a million ways of enticing their love interests through the sense of smell, reportedly certain African tribes have taken it to the next level. The Dassanetch tribe in Africa sees the smell of cattle as a sign of wealth and fertility and therefore the men of the tribe ensure that they bathe in cow urine to smell like one

3.Bodi Tribe in Ethiopia

You have probably heard about the connection between the weight to the status symbol and one’s wealth in ancient times, but it seems that culture still exists in Africa.

Bodi culture in Africa considers the large body as a symbol of beauty and prosperity. This is the reason for the men of this tribe will try hard to attract the opposite sex by increasing body weight through the consumption of blood and milk.
