Video game addiction has become a prominent societal issue among young people in China, with an increasing number of young people choosing to only play online games.
Recently, a teenager from Nanjing, China played games for 22 hours every day since the school closed in February.
The boy’s mother found him in his room unconscious and quickly rushed him to the hospital. He has been placed at Jianbin Hospital in Guangxi on 9th July.
The boy diagnosed with stroke after playing games for a long time. This causes his left hand to stop working.
According to his mom, his son spent time only in his room and only sleep for two hours every day. The boy lied to his mom by saying he is having online classes when his mom asked what he did in his room all day.
The parent told reporters: “He shut the windows and locked the door. We had no idea what he was doing in there.”
She said, “I saw his online conversation with friends. He said he wasn’t well-rested and was sleeping for at most two hours a day.”
