All About Three Types of Watermelon Rich In Nutrients Also Delicious

In our country, there are many varieties of fruits that have their own benefits. Some of these nutritious fruits are like watermelons. Almost 90% of watermelon contains water. It is best eaten or made with juices because the climate in our country is hot all year long.

Watermelon is rich in vitamins A and C, folic acid, magnesium, zinc and many other types of minerals are highly valued in medicine. There are several types of watermelons that are often preferred. Among them are red melons, seedless, picnic, icebox, and others. Here are three types of melons that rich in nutrients:

1- Watermelon

The red watermelon is known dor its vibrant color, which not only makes it look appetizing but also adds nutritional benefits.

Watermelon’s high levels of lycopene are very effective at protecting cells from damage and may help lower the risk of heart disease,

2- Honeydew

Honeydew provides a lot of nutrients such as Vitamin C has been shown to boost the immune system, provide healthy skin, strengthen tissues, and improve healthy brain function.

Also, Potassium is an essential mineral for healthy heart function. Potassium deficiency can cause irregular heartbeats. Thus, Copper helps regenerate skin cells, which helps promote healthy skin. and Vitamin B: helps remove toxins in the body that can cause illness.

3-Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe is high water content, at almost 90 percent. Eating cantaloupe also helps you to stay hydrated throughout the day, which is important for heart health.  Carotenoid is a powerful antioxidant that helps maintain healthy eye function.

Fats also are essential for the growth and maintenance of healthy cells in the body. Vitamin C  has been shown to boost the immune system, provide healthy skin, strengthen tissues, and improve healthy brain function.

Potassium an essential mineral for healthy heart function and irregular heartbeats. Vitamin A is essential for healthy teeth, skin, bones, and mucous membranes.

Watermelon contains a maximum amount of calories, which is 46 calories per cup. However, it is rich in antioxidants, which are associated with decreased risk of cancer, heart disease, and age-related eye disorder and contain large amounts of vitamin A and C also Potassium.

One cup of milk melon (honeydew) contains 60 calories and 51 percent of vitamin C and 11 percent of the daily potassium the body needs. Honeydew also contains some fiber, folate, and vitamin B6.

It is said that one cup of fragrant melon (cantaloupe) has only 53 calories. But it contains 105 percent of vitamin A and 95 percent of the vitamin C depends on daily body needs.

How to choose watermelon? There are a few important things to know when choosing the perfect watermelon

  • Choose a hard watermelon without any obvious defects.
  • All watermelons should be heavy in size, indicating good juicy fruit.
  • Watermelons are best when they have a yellow belly, which means they are from a farm rather than in a store or market.
  • Some types of honeydew turn to yellow when its rip. The more it yellow, the sweeter it is.
