Foreign workers in the country are allowed to work again, announced the Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He explained that it was due to various sectors and industries that had been reopened while the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) was still underway.
“There are many foreign workers in our country who have work permits, and when the sector where they work is closed, they do not work,” he said.
“As the industrial sectors begin to open, the meeting decided that as soon as the sector where they work and they are still in the country and have a work permit in that place, they are allowed to continue their work,” added Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.
However, they (foreign workers) need to undergo a COVID-19 test first before returning to work.
