Boarding House in Singapore Turned Into Cat Cafe with 22 Cats Residing

All cat lovers or also known as Ailurophile will love to spend their time playing with the adorable felines. Cats can be so arrogant to us and will only “acted” their affection when they want food from us.

Even though some might perceive the cat’s character as less affectionate than dogs, we have no problem giving our time to get the cat’s attention toward us. Some might even be spending money to be with lovely cats.

Many cat cafes have been opened for cat lovers who love to be surrounded by cats. A cat cafe in Singapore, Catopia Cafe has been opened for customers to have the experience of being surrounded by 22 cats.

The owner of the cafe, Kevin Chiak said that the cafe is actually a boarding house previously. But after COVID-19 hits Singapore, his business experienced a sharp fall. He then took the opportunity to transform the boarding house into a cafe.

The customers who are visiting the cafe will have to pay S$12 per hour. This fee includes one free drink. An additional S$6 will be charged per hour for customers who wished to stay there longer. The cafe also served cakes and desserts at an affordable price.

The cafe restricted only customers above five-years-old will be allowed to enter the cafe. The owner also planned to have therapy sessions and weekly adoption for rescue cats.
