The U.S. certainly is facing a difficult time this year. Several natural disasters are occurring in the U.S. at the same time.
The southern U.S. has been issued with hurricane warnings. Many parts of the U.S. also are struggling to handle the pandemic which the number of people getting infected keeps on increasing.
Recently, deadly wildfires have burned over 1 million acres in California. Since the beginning of August, California has been struggling to fight with the fire. Thousands of firefighters are trying to contain the fire but it shows no end.
The fires started because of 12,000 lightning strikes in the states which started 585 fires over the past week. Steve Kaufmann, California Fire spokesman stated that more than 13,000 firefighters working to contain the blaze. However, a total of 1.1 million have been burned in the state.
These massive blazes have killed at least four people.
California has received a Presidential Major Disaster Declaration because of the fire burning in the northern part of the state. Donald Trump, the U.S. president released federal aid to affected areas to support recovery efforts.
There are too many fires for more than 13,000 firefighters to stop them. Some firefighters are working on 24-hours shift as the resources is not enough.
The residents have been warned by the Fire Unit Chief Shana Jones to prepare to leave as a weather red flag warning has been issued.
