Competing in Looking at Ex-Girlfriend’s Picture, Gained Interest from the Citizens

August is the month where Malaysia will be celebrating 63rd Independence Day. It is the month where every Malaysians put aside our differences and come together as one family.

Our neighborhood country, Indonesia also had celebrated its 75th Independence Day on August 17. The celebration in Indonesia will be filled with excitement all over the large countries. It is believed that in Indonesia, they will conduct various events and competitions upon celebrating their Independence Day to hype the excitement among the citizens.

One of the competitions that were conducted this year is a competition to look at the ex-girlfriend’s picture the longest. It was reported in Tribun News that the competition was conducted just for fun.

From pictures that were uploaded in an Instagram account, @anam_chenel, four men were participating in the competition. Each of them was seen sitting on a chair and holding an A4 picture of their ex-girlfriend. The viewers were excited to see the competitors giving their best in winning the competition.

This year, Indonesia celebrated their Independence Day online because of the pandemic. Citizens who would like to join the virtual celebration need to register earlier before the day of the celebration.

It gained so much interest from the citizens until the government decided to make it live on Youtube and television.
