Former Manchester City midfielder, David Silva will be joining Real Sociedad after he completed the signings. The 34 years old footballer before this has officially left Manchester City after their 3-1 loss to Lyon in the Champions League quarter-finals.
As a result, it ends his 10 years journey with the club and City even has revealed that they would honor Silva with a statue.
Before joining Real Sociedad with a two-year deal, Silva was rumored to join a team from Serie A, Lazio.
Playing in La Liga is nothing new for this legendary Manchester City player. This is because Silva used to play with the Valencia team for six years before joining City in 2010.
Silva’s transfer to Real Sociedad was confirmed by the club on Twitter and some pictures of the player wearing the official jersey were included.
The La Liga campaign will begin on September 12. Not only that, but Sociedad will also compete in the Europa League group stage.
Silva has made 436 appearances for Manchester City and is considered one of the club’s greatest players. Together with City, he has won four Premier League titles, five League Cups and two FA Cups.
