Thunderstorm Warning Is Expected To Affect 8 States Until This Evening – METMalaysia

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) recently issued a thunderstorm or heavy rain warning in several areas in Malaysia which is expected to occur until 6 pm this evening.

The warning issued at 3 pm this evening involved several states in Malaysia. Among the states that are expected to be hit by thunderstorms or heavy rain until 6 pm are Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Johor, Sarawak and Sabah.

Here are some areas that are expected to be hit by thunderstorms until 6 pm this evening:

Perlis

Kedah: (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu)

Penang: (Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan)

Perak: (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar)

Kelantan: (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang and Kuala Krai)

Johor: (Segamat, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru)

Sarawak: Serian, Samarahan (Asajaya and Simunjan), Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Betong (Pusa, Betong and Kabong), Miri (Marudi) and Limbang

Sabah: Inland (Sipitang and Tambunan), West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran), Tawau (Tawau) and Sandakan (Kinabatangan)

People are advised to be careful especially for areas where thunderstorms are expected.
