After the coronavirus pandemic has emerged to the world, many people started to take precaution steps to avoid the disease. All prevention methods have been implemented in most countries.

Health experts have been encouraging people to give more care to hygiene. One of the ways that are proven to curb the disease is by washing hands frequently.

Apart from washing your hands, drying it also plays much importance as part of the basic hygiene. It is crucial to dry your hands thoroughly to avoid picking up germs.

According to Nesochi Okeke-Igbokwe, a physician and health expert, wet hands can easily transfer or pick up germs. David Cutler, a family medicine physician said that bacteria are more likely to transfer from wet skin than from dry skin.

The process of drying the hands is important to make sure that your hands do not recontaminate after proper washing. So, we should know what is the most hygienic way to dry our hands.

According to some research, drying hands using paper towels is the best choice from using cloth towels and air-dryers. A Paper towel reduced the number of bacteria on the hands.

Electric hand air-driers have the potential to spread bacteria onto your hands after washing. Dr. Cutler said that the worst way to dry you washed hands by using the hand-dryers in the public toilet.
