This long-overdue COVID-19 Pandemic situation has really affected many people in this whole wide world in a very negative way. They are getting severely affected socially, mentally and the most critical one, financially. Despite all of that, life must go on that is what this man in Penang is doing. He is willing to dress up in an Iron Man suit and sells corn juice just to make ends meet during this hard and difficult COVID-19 pandemic situation here in Malaysia.
“Got laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a former telecommunication company employee did not complain but instead he tried to get on with his life and use his creativity wearing ‘Iron Man’ suit to sell corn juice”.
“Muhammad Syukur Mohd Patthi, 26, said he was laid off last August and has been selling corn water for the past two weeks after finding it difficult to get another job”.
He and also his friends that are Yusri Md Saad and Mohamad Zaidi Zainal Abidin decided to wear different costumes when selling corn water as a unique way to attract the customers. Muhammad Syukur Mohd Patthi said, “Even though we have to work at the side of the road no matter rain or shine, I feel happy whenever the people who pass by wave or honk at us. Many people miss the world outside of their house and I am happy that I get to entertain them”.
Other than that, they also will give out the remaining stock of their corn juice for all the frontliners at the roadblocks around Penang. Muhammad Syukur and his friends are selling corn juice specifically around Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam in Penang.
