Five Harmful Home DIY Remedies To Avoid

DIY hacks are easy to make and don’t burn a hole in your pocket. However, as a result, we also tend to apply some “weird” ingredients to the skin by making a guinea pig of ourselves.

All ingredients don’t fare well for every skin type and some are not even meant to be used on skin.  Here are all the facts about common DIY ingredients and hacks that you didn’t know.

1. Baking Soda

Often used as a facial scrub ingredient, it is mixed with water or lemon juice to remove blackheads. If you use it regularly it will make the skin dry and irritated because it does not suit the facial skin.

2. Cinnamon and Garlic

You should not use cinnamon and garlic powder because this combination will make your skin burn, sore, and irritated.

3. Toothpaste

A lot of people always put toothpaste near acne, right? Never do that because toothpaste has a high pH. Formulated only for teeth instead of a face, it will not burn until the end of the month.

4. Lemon

Drinking lemon water after waking up has its benefits. But if you wore on your face, it has no nutrients. This is because lemon juice is high in acid. If it is placed on the face, it does not matter if the skin on the face burns.

5. Vinegar

There are several types of vinegar such as kitchen vinegar and apple cider vinegar, most know apple cider vinegar can make the skin more beautiful. Works to reduce acne and remove dead skin cells, be careful in using it. Do not overuse, fear of skin irritation, and breakout.
