(Video) Americans Try Malaysian Maggi Kari Mee Noodles For The First Time

Kumaar Family, a Youtube channel based in Malaysia and the United States of America, made a video about Americans trying out the most famous Maggi Mee Noodles, curry-flavored.

We all know that every household has this product in Malaysia. The taste and texture remind us so much about our upbringing – but what would the Americans feel having this for the first time?

In the video, it started off as Kumaar talking about how Maggi has been such a necessity in Malaysia. Kumaar said that he will be sending his American friends the product, and writing the instructions in English, since the packaging is in full Bahasa Melayu.

We sent out Maggi Kari Mee packets to our friends and family to try for the first time. What is it like for Americans who have never eaten Malaysian food before to try Malaysian Maggi curry noodles for the first time? They mostly liked it, but many definitely thought they were really spicy.

Most of the impressions he got, filmed, are that the noodles are a bit spicy to handle for them, though they still liked it nonetheless.

The broth, if drank wrong, might sting to even us Malaysians, but for them, just by the first spoon, they could already feel the spice in their throats. This is no shock since Americans are not quite adapt to the spiciness.
