(Video) Man Enjoy Painting Customed Masks That Look Like Real Faces

RIO DE JANEIRO: Jorge Roriz, a Brazilian artist create facemasks that have the wearer’s face on it. Due to the pandemic, the artist has shifted his focus to design facial coverings for his commissioners.

Jorge draws on the mask in detail, to not miss any features of the person so that they can still remain true to their identity while staying protected.

This 65-year-old artist is locally known for his work on Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival costumes and floats. Even though there can no longer be carnivals or festivals, Jorge still brings joy to his community with the designated face masks.

“I’ve had really positive reactions – people laugh. Something that was thought to be sadness actually brought joy to them,” he said in the interview. He only started to make one for his colleague, but after the response he got, it became something he focuses on.
