5 Great Tree Planting At Home To Prevent Mosquito

Tropical weather in Malaysia is synonymous with mosquitoes. Especially when summer arrives, the number of mosquitoes in the residential site is increasing, especially when there is a decorative pond.

This is because mosquitoes breed in areas where there are water reservoirs, bushes, and garbage. In addition to prioritizing the cleanliness of the environment, one of the environmentally friendly ways to repel mosquitoes in the home is to plant mosquito repellent trees that usually emit the aroma hated by the insects.

With the rainy season starting to wet the earth it is the weather that the mosquito likes, the wet and hot weather are good weather for mosquitoes to breed. Here are some mosquito repellent plants that are easy to be planted at home.

1. Zodia tree


The zodia tree or its scientific name evodia suaveolens scheff is a plant from the Irian district, Papua. This zodia tree emits an odor when its leaves shift from each other, the odor can repel mosquitoes from entering the house.

2. Basil tree


In addition to being used in cooking, basil also serves as a natural mosquito repellent because the aroma is quite hated by mosquitoes.

3.Lemon Balm Tree


Like basil and zodia trees, this lemon balm tree is also able to repel mosquitoes with the smell it emits.

4.Citronella Tree


Citronella or Lemongrass has many uses, apart from cooking it is also used to repel mosquitoes and also kill mosquito larvae.

5. Lavender tree


Lavender trees can also repel mosquitoes from hovering inside and around the house, through the content of linalool and lynalyl acetate contained in this lavender tree.
