(Video) 5 Reasons Why You Must Watch the ‘Sweet Home’ Series by Netflix

Have you ever watched ‘The Walking Dead’ series? If you are interested in the thriller genre series and full of action like that, the latest drama series published by Netflix, Sweet Home must be on your watch list.

Although this drama was only screened on December 18, 2020, Sweet Home has already managed to get fourth place in the series that is often watched by Netflix viewers in Malaysia.

The drama titled Sweet Home tells the story of an 18-year-old schoolboy, Cha Hyun Soo. He had moved into an apartment house after all his family members died as a result of being involved in a tragic accident.

After the tragedy involving his family, Cha Hyun Soo had to leave his house. But since living life alone, he has witnessed various strange behaviors including the world being attacked by a group of monsters, and humans that were bitten will suddenly turn into monsters.

Due to that, we have listed some of the reasons why this series is trending successfully after three days of screening.

1. An interesting storyline

In contrast to previous Korean drama series, this drama features an interesting storyline and even the incarnation of various scary monsters. If you are a hardcore fan of thriller series and have survival features like ‘The Walking Dead’ or ‘Stranger Things’ this series will also be one of your favorite series.

2. The production of the series is the same as in the comics

For all you know, the series was originally published in a webtoon comic, ‘Sweet Home’ written by Kim Carnby Hwang Young-Chan. The director of the series, Lee Eung Bok has tried his best to display the same storyline as told in the webtoon comic.

According to a report published in Hello Kpop, he has explained that he wants to make sure that the fans of the comic are not disappointed with the drama series.

“I want to make sure that the fans for the comic are not disappointed. We have created the drama by following every detail as shown in the comic,” he explained.

3. Displays scary monsters

For anyone who loves a series that has scary creatures, this series is perfect for you. Not only does the monster look realistic but it also looks very attractive. Even so in this series, no one knows where this monster epidemic came from and what the cause is.

4. Song Kang as the main character
Next, among other reasons why you should watch this drama is because it is starring the famous Korean actor, Song Kang. He has played the role of Hyun-Soo. According to him, when he received a call that he would play the main character, the actor felt very excited because he was a fan of the webtoon comics.

“For the first time, I felt nervous when I wanted to mention Hyun-Soo’s name. When I visited the room for the character, it looked very realistic.

“The filming set for this series is very realistic and well made so that I can adapt to the character well,” said Song Kang according to the Hello Kpop portal.

5. Has a variety of characters

If we look at previous dramas there must be a lot of annoying side characters, right? Just like other dramas, this drama also has a variety of characters for side characters that will make us feel uncomfortable sitting while watching it. Until we feel impatient to let the character be devoured by the monster. If you want to know the ending of this drama, you need to watch it yourself.
