Nike Unveils Upcoming Kyrie S2 Hybrid “Chinese New Year” Colorway

Kyrie Irving has just not missed a beat when it comes to showing stat-filling results on the hardwood, now two games into the NBA regular season.

And he will have a cornucopia of new colorways to debut on the floor as he keeps his momentum trucking along throughout the year, one of which is this Kyrie S2 Hybrid “Chinese New Year” colorway.

The mid-cut signature silhouette, unveiled via Nike (NYSE: NKE -0.11 percent) by way of official imagery, comes jam-packed with intricate details. The hindfoot panels are painted with triangular multicolored designs and come embedded under the angelic Swooshes with Chinese dragons embroidered.

The neighboring areas such as the forefoot, medial panels, and venus flytrap-Esque throat shroud contrast with more all-over graphics like floral designs, Nike greyscale logo mosaics, and more.

Tongues and carved heel counters that make up the normal all-seeing eye and healer’s hand insignias of the Nets’ point guard are dripped in bold red, the former of which host Irving’s black logo sitting next to floral imagery.

Downstairs, with a stealthy zig-zag line and yellow/red triangle strike on the treading, the midsoles break between black and purple color blocking and come rounded off.

No release date has been confirmed by Nike yet, but expect them to drop closer to the beginning of the Year of the Ox festivities sometime next month/early February.
