Syed Saddiq Partners With ‘Santan’, Opening New Branch In Mont Kiara

Despite being busy as the people’s representative, Muar Member of Parliament, YB Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman did not make it as an excuse to not start a business. He recently managed to start his first business serving popular local food.

“My first business journey! Say hi to Santan 163 Retail Park,” he said.

Through a post on the Facebook page made by the former Minister of Youth and Sports, Syed Saddiq himself, he said the restaurant provides special dishes of Nasi Lemak Pak Nasser and Nasi Ayam Uncle Chin. In his post, he mentioned that the restaurant is located in Mont Kiara.


In the partnership, he also stated that he has long had the desire to open his own business but there has been no opportunity. He also plans to find a business that can provide jobs to young people.

“Actually, I have been wanting to open my own business for a long time but there is no opportunity yet. I plan to find a lot of businesses with great potential to provide job opportunities to young people,” he said.

According to Syed Saddiq, he chose the ‘Santan’ brand because it is a popular brand in Malaysia and is always active in promoting local food. ‘Santan’ has also shown support for local children who lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Syed Saddiq also stated his plan in the future to launch the #SADDIQsapotlokal campaign. He said the campaign could help job and business opportunities for young people. The campaign was also created to be a small and medium business partner out there. However, he said to wait for the preparations for the campaign to be made, he invited the public to come to his restaurant first.

“But for the campaign, have to wait for the preparation to be made. For now, please come to Santan Mont Kiara first!”
