Since the pandemic, many people have been affected by this new norm – financially. Jobs are being cut down and everyone is advised to stay home, preventing them from doing their jobs.
Many people have started to open small businesses to support themselves and their families, just like this man, Niyyar Bin Bakri, from Sabah.
Sabah had been heavily affected by the virus, with clusters and cases keep on coming – they had to undergo strict quarantine rules set by the authorities there to stop the virus from spreading any further than it already has.
Niyyar sells Adidas collection items online on Facebook Live to help cover his daily expenses. Suddenly, a woman commented that she would buy all of his collections for RM3,000, all in one lump!
“Sustenance never goes to the wrong address. If God wills, your wealth will never stop raining down on you,” his friend, Azarinah Binti Awang said in her post, supporting Niyyar’s business.
Azarinah added that Niyyar had collected his Adidas products for a long time, and thus on morning December 12, everything has been sold.
“He was touched, and he was proud of himself.”
The people who watched his Facebook live was also brought to tears, saying that they are happy for him.
Niyyar had finally sold his collections and had earned a hefty sum that would surely lighten his burden through this COVID-19 pandemic.
