Celebrating ‘Batista’ 52nd Birthday, Here Are His Top 5 Must-Watch Movies

Anyone must know the American actor who is making a name for himself in Hollywood, Dave Bautista. Who is not familiar with his popular acting as ‘Drax’ in the movie ‘Guardians of The Galaxy’.

However, did you know that January 18 is the birthday of the actor whose real name is David Michael Bautista Jr?

Dave, who is also a former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) professional wrestler that was known as ‘Batista’, has just celebrated his 52nd birthday.

To celebrate his birthday, let’s take a look at the list of 5 best films starring Dave Bautista:

5) Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

Dave Bautista’s role as a ‘Drax’ character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has truly been an important moment in his acting career. In fact, it is able to take Dave to the next level in terms of popularity. He became a well-known figure around the world now thanks to that role, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 really allows him to further develop the Drax character.

4) Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)

As for the two films that specifically focus on the Guardians of the Galaxy group, there is no doubt the original film is the best of the two. First, everything about this is fresh with the elements of comedy and the use of music throughout the film, which is something that is followed by the sequel.

The story here is much stronger and more interesting and Drax itself is a big part of that. The history that Thanos has with his family plays an important role in this film. Marvel gets a perfect balance of humor and physicality in this film which makes it an entertaining film.

3) Blade Runner 2049 (2017)

Taking on the role of Sapper Morton, Dave Bautista was part of the movie star who popularized the film Blade Runner 2049, which was a great film. He teamed up with great actors like Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling for this much-anticipated sequel and it turned out not to be disappointing.

His character only appears at the beginning of the film, but his presence is certainly welcomed in the film. This is a high octane film with a lot of screenings that do not slow down in providing great action and equally intense dialogue.

2) Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Avengers: Infinity War is the first film in which the Guardians of the Galaxy characters join The Avengers for the first time. It has indirectly created incredible moments for MCU fans. They were part of a group that fought Thanos first, having a real chance to take the Infinity Gauntlet from him.

Yet they lose and Drax is one of many characters who turn to dust due to Thanos snap. This is a great movie as a whole, which sees the bad guys really win and achieve their goals, which makes this movie so interesting.

1) Avengers: Endgame (2019)

If Dave Bautista was part of the movie Avengers: Infinity War, he would definitely be part of Avengers: Endgame. Although his role is smaller in the film, he is still one of the superheroes featured, and seeing him join every hero in MCU is very cool during the last battle with Thanos.

The film is more centered on the main characters of The Avengers, simply because of the time travel element, and with Drax being part of the snap, he is not really needed in this regard. However, this is the end of a monumental journey when it comes to MCU, which as such might never be seen again.
