The method of detecting, analyzing, and treating people who have been exposed to a disease to avoid further transmission is contact tracing.
These individuals are called contacts.
COVID-19 contact tracing demands that individuals who may have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, be detected and tracked for 14 days on a regular basis.
The aim is to avoid the spread of the virus by reducing the number of people who have the virus circulating.
WHO has released a video explaining this method so that the people could understand and take note of it much more seriously.
