Book Review: ‘More Than Love, A Husband’s Tale’, Based On True Journal of A Husband

‘More Than Love, A Husband’s Tale’ is probably one of the most heartfelt books that someone could ever read. The fact that it actually happened in real life definitely could prove how much love a husband could have for his beloved wife. This particular book developed from a journal of the author’s thoughts and also feelings.

In this book, the author kindly shares with everyone a very painful and complicated part of his own life. Coping with the terminal illness and also subsequent death of his wife Kay, and the general and particular experience that the couple and their family went through.

The journal made by the husband was actually in response to the shock that he had after his wife’s diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer in the month of December 2015. Initially, he kept it as a personal diary of things that he believed were important at the time, including the poems and prose he wrote which sprang organically from the events as they happened.

Even though there were months that are extremely challenging, at times shocking, and ultimately tragic, they were also a time of great love. He hoped that he have captured some of those few moments of pure happiness, humor and also joy which he believe will not only help other people touched by cancer but will show sufferers and their families that there is no right or wrong way to behave, just as long as you continue to show how much you care and as much as possible, be there for each other.

This book is really beautiful, direct, real, and above all very human. Its narrative is direct, polite but open, and its poetry transparent, authentic, and beautiful. If anyone wants to read how the true love of a couple can be lived and shared when the days of the most loved one are numbered, this book should absolutely be among the first options.

The book has really helped a lot of other people who are suffering the same loss feeling that the author felt when he lost his beloved wife. That is why this book is such a motivating book for many people to read.
