Bruna Barbie, Pink-Obsessed Woman Who Becomes Professional Real-Life Barbie

Everybody has their favourite colour- one that you wear more often than most. Or let it dominate over your wardrobe, stationery or favourite kitchen utensils. But rare it is a person who takes it to the next level by letting that colour represent their whole lifestyle – and make money from it.

A Brazilian influencer known as Bruna Barbie is famous for her love for everything pink. Her name was taken after the world’s most popular doll ‘Barbie’ and her lifestyle gave her instant social media popularity.

Born Bruna Carolina Peres, the influencer is from Parana and loves the bright colour for as long as she can remember. It was then she became a Barbie fan and notices the affinity of the colour with the doll.

She started dressing in pink more after seeing Reese Witherspoon’s character from ‘Legally Blonde’. Later, people just started calling her Barbie and she just goes along with it.

Her followers

She started sharing photos and videos in 2013. She gained followers from teenagers and adults and most of them are women.

Today, she is one of the most popular influencers in Brazil with over 10million followers on TikTok, 2.4 million on Youtube and 300,000 followers on Instagram.

“My public is very varied, from people who share my love of the colour pink, to those who don’t really like it, but are inspired by determination and personality.” – Bruna Barbie

Her Home

Some are criticising her for the oddity, but most are admiring her boldness and personality. According to Globo G1, 97% of Barbie’s wardrobe are pink with black and white pieces for minimal diversity. The rest such as her furniture, cutlery and even her villa are pink.

The Barbie aficionado spent around 500,000 reals (RM373,795) on building her seaside home in Parana. For safety reason, the exact town is not revealed but if one passes by, it would be hard to miss the bright pink abode.

Most part of the house is in pink except for one in the bedroom that was in blue. It is for her ‘Ken’. She hasn’t found hers yet but the room is used by her brother when he visits.

With her bold persona, Barbie actually graduated from law school and one day wants to pursue projects related to animal rights. But for now, she focuses on her career as an influencer and her Barbie lifestyle.
