Old Man Celebrate 100th Birthday, Receive Wedding Ring Gift That Had Lost 5 Years Ago

An old man who lost his wedding ring five years ago was shocked by the discovery on his 100th birthday recently.

World War II veteran Donald Dennis did not expect to receive the surprise at a meaningful celebration last Sunday.

He lost his ring in 2016 at a supermarket in Austin, Minnesota in the United States. The ring was however rediscovered after the supermarket underwent renovations.

The supermarket manager was able to track down Donald’s daughter, Shari Johnson, following the ring engraved with Donald’s name, his wife’s name, and their wedding date.

She then presented the ring to her father who now lives in Florida, during a birthday celebration.

Speaking to the US media, Shari said her father cried with the rediscovery of the ring.

“He teared up. He got the biggest grin on his face and he just held that in his hand like it was a treasure, which it is, and he put it right back on his finger and it fit just fine,” said Shari.
