“I Also Respectfully Accept The Decision…” – Farid Kamil

It has been known by everyone that a popular actor named Farid Kamil has previously received the title of Dato’ from Istana Pahang. However, on the 10th of February 2021, the press reported that the title has been revoked.

It is done after the Pahang State Secretary has issued a specific letter of withdrawal of the Pahang Crown Indra Degree (DIMP) granted to Farid Kamil effective the 1st of February. Apart from that, the same title for Boy Iman or the real name is Noruliman A Rahman was also revoked.

To discuss more the issue, Farid Kamil has uploaded a posting on his official Instagram page recently.

The photo shared in his posting shows Farid Kamil with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah while in a polo game. The posting stated:

“Assalamualaikum w.b.t. Since the 16th of December 2017, I am very proud and honored to carry the title of Dato’ bestowed by Istana Pahang. I cherish the highest gift in my life and accept it humbly at that moment”.

Considering the title as the highest award in life, Farid is very grateful for that. However, the news of the withdrawal of the title was also received by him with an open heart.

In fact, Farid respects the decision from the palace:

“Today, I also respectfully accept the decision from the Pahang Palace to withdraw the title of Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which brought the title of Dato’ to me,” he added.
