Recently on the 7th of March, The National Zoo has been receiving helps in the form of frozen chickens. These donations are given so that all the animals in The National Zoo can have the opportunities to get fed amidst the CMCO situation. They are actually given by the Department of Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS).
MAQIS has posted the statement on their own Facebook page stating that they had decided to donate 8 tonnes of frozen chickens that they had seized at the Kelantan-Thailand border in the month of December to The National Zoo and this is an effort to feed the animals there.
They wrote in the Facebook posting, “Work visit and also the delivery of frozen chickens to The National Zoo by Tuan Saiful Yazan Bin Alwi, Director General of Quarantine and Inspection”.
It is very fortunate to know that the seized frozen chickens are going to good use as the animals at The National Zoo really need all the help they can get throughout this pandemic time.
