Apartment Unit On Third Floor Razed In Seremban

SEREMBAN, March 26 — A unit on the third floor of Apartment Dahlia Garden Avenue, near here was destroyed in a fire last night.

Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations assistant director, Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the department received an emergency call on the fire at 8.10 pm.

“Upon arrival, it was found the flame had spread to the whole house but the blaze was extinguished at about 8.19 pm.

“The fire destroyed 80 per cent of the apartment unit, however the occupants, a woman and her disabled son managed to escape and there was no loss of life in the incident,” he said when contacted by Bernama here today.

The cause of fire and value of losses are still being investigated.

He said eight firemen and two fire engines from Seremban 2 station were involved in the operation.
