“Dear ‘Hannah Montana’, I Still Love You…” – Miley Cyrus

In an emotional post, Miley Cyrus reflected on the bittersweet memories she had while starring on the Disney Channel as the titular character in ‘Hannah Montana’. For Miley Cyrus, starring as a pop star in disguise on Disney Channel’s ‘Hannah Montana’ was a dream come true. The pop star wrote her alter ego a heartfelt letter reflecting on her time ‘growing up’ on the TV show.

Miley Cyrus has taken to her own Twitter page on March 24 to honor the show’s 15th anniversary by writing a lengthy letter to Hannah Montana, the pop star alter-ego of her character ‘Miley Stewart’. She wrote to her television persona: “Although you are considered to be an ‘alter ego’. In reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glovette than I did in my bare hands”.

She continued paying tribute, recognizing how her time on-screen as the international pop star served as a ‘rocket that flew me to the moon plus never brought me back down’. She reminisced on the many memorable backstage moments, her on-screen family, and more. Miley Cyrus starred on ‘Hannah Montana’, alongside co-stars Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso, Jason Earles, and father Billy Ray Cyrus, who also starred as her on-screen father.

After Miley Cyrus posted pictures of the letter penned on Hannah Montana’s stationery, the pop star herself responded to the singer’s tweet. “Nice to hear from you @MileyCyrus. It’s only been a decade”, the official Hannah Montana Twitter account responded.
