“Mak Cik Swag Right There”, IKEA Praised By Malaysians After Showing Models From Various Ages And Races

Advertising outfits could be such a trick because companies usually tend to use models that have such impossible beauty standards that not everyone is blessed with. That is why many people would usually end up not liking the outfit that they have bought because it does not suit them like how the models portrayed. That is why using models from different ages and also races could help a lot to solve this kind of problem.

That is what has been done by IKEA Malaysia when they have included models from various ages and races to show that their outfit really suits well for everyone. Their action also has been getting praised by a lot of netizens.

IKEA wrote in a post on Instagram:

“Up your wardrobe game (and the whole family’s) with EFTERTRÄDA. Shop our limited-edition collection of clothes and accessories in-stores now or online from March 11. Children’s range coming in April”.

For their advertisements, they have cooperated with different variations of models from aunties, uncles, young adults, and all the way to children from different races to prove that their outfit would definitely look amazing and stunning on various Malaysians from different generations and ethnicities.

Looking at the comment section, many netizens praised IKEA Malaysia for their sense of inclusivity:
