Two Climbers Followed By A Lost Cat While Climbing A 10,000 Feet Mountain

Two climbers, Cyril and Erik Rohrer were amazed when their climb to Mount Britsen in Switzerland was accompanied by a cat.

The cute animal followed them to the level of 3,000 meters even though it had to go through a snowstorm.

According to Metro UK, Cyril and Erik Rohrer were surprised to hear the sound of a cat behind a tree during the climb.

The cat was far from the human settlement on the mountain and continued to follow the climber.

Cyril and Erik believe the cat got lost from its owner’s house which may be located in a nearby town.

A group of climbers who came down also brought with them the cat to be reunited with its master.

“It was 4:30 am, at around 1200m, when we heard a cat in the dark forest. She made a really scared and confused impression,” Cyril said.

He said the cat then continued to follow them climbing to the top and there were times when the animal was supported due to the thick snow conditions on the climbing route.

However, when it almost reached the summit, the cat was handed over to a team of climbers who were on their way down to be reunited with its owner.

They later found the cat had been missing for four days and had been attaching herself to other groups of hikers for the last two days.

“So she has been up there three times. Animals do weird things. And they are way tougher than humans. They’ll never give up. Even though they are hurting really really bad,” Cyril added.
