Syarifuddin Wins FIM CEV Moto3 Race In Barcelona

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — Young rider Syarifuddin Azman won the FIM CEV Repsol 2021 Moto3 Race 1 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya today.

Despite starting from the 10th place, the 20-year-old completed the 16-lap race in 29 minutes and 32.553 seconds to emerge victorious, ahead of Spaniards David Munoz Rodriguez and Jose Antonio Rueda Ruiz who finished in second and third places respectively.

The SIC Racing rider was, however, unlucky in the second race as he crashed during the 11th lap.

The 25 points from today’s win helped Syarifuddin climb up to the 10th place in the world championship standing with 31 points.

Meanwhile, in the Moto2 Race 2, despite starting off from the 20th place, Adam Norrodin came close to a podium finish, settling for fourth place in a time of 30:22.746s.

Home riders and Boscoscuro Talent Team-Ciatti teammates Fermin Aldeguer (30:01.446s) and Alonso Lopez secured the top two spots, while German Lukas Tulovic finished third.

Earlier in the Race 1, Adam encountered an unfortunate event as he crashed out in the 12th lap.

The European Talent Cup (ETC) witnessed Sharul Ezwan Mohd Sharil grabbing the 14th spot, completing 15 laps in 28:40.727s, while Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli was placed 19th in a time of 28:41.672s.
