(Video) ‘Kain Pelikat’, But With Fancy And Fashionable Twist On It

Kain Pelikat refers to a sarong worn by the Malays, especially for men. Kain Pelikat has been widely used by many people and has been recognized by the community since the days of the Melaka Sultanate. Kain Pelikat is usually sold sewn or even without stitches. This Kain Pelikat has become a regular custom in Malaysia but now, it has started to gain popularity worldwide.

Talking about Kain Pelikat, people would usually associate it with traditional life and also as a kampung outfit but not anymore. This is what happened with a particular video that went viral on the Instagram app. The video shows a woman fashion influencer using Kain Pelikat in her own video. Amazingly, she has put a fancy and fashionable twist on the traditional Kain Pelikat.

The posted Instagram post has a caption that stated, “We try something new”. Even with minimal effort by her trying to style the Kain Pelikat, the final result of her effort looks so amazing and also chic. Never know that wearing Kain Pelikat could make someone looks so high class.

Looking at the comments section, most people have called the Kain Pelikat in so many different names as they might not know what it is called. A lot of them also love the look that has been shown by the fashion influencer in her video.
