Movie Review: Ever Feel Alone Spending Time At Home? Watch These 5 Great Movies

Feeling alone is actually just something that we all encounter from time to time. Whether it be separated from those we love, a feeling of not fitting in, or just a general feeling, loneliness can be one of the tougher emotions to be a comfortable feeling. However, a selection of great movies is always there to help us come to terms with these feelings.

They could really help whether it be by showing us characters who feel the same way or by presenting something that simply manages to take the feeling away. When we tune in to a movie, we are choosing to spend time with these fictional characters and public personas. They could become imaginary friends of ours. These are 5 movies to watch.

1) Her (2013)

Her is a 2013 American science-fiction romantic drama film written, directed, and produced by Spike Jonze. It marks Jonze’s solo screenwriting debut. 2) Gravity (2013)

Gravity is a 2013 science fiction thriller film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, who also co-wrote, co-edited, and produced the film. It stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as American astronauts who are stranded in space after the mid-orbit destruction of their Space Shuttle, and attempt to return to Earth.

3) Into The Wild (2007)

It is an adaptation of the 1996 non-fiction book of the same name written by Jon Krakauer and tells the story of Christopher McCandless (“Alexander Supertramp”), a man who hiked across North America into the Alaskan wilderness in the early 1990s.

4) The Truman Show (1998)

The Truman Show is a 1998 American psychological comedy-drama film directed by Peter Weir, produced by Scott Rudin, Andrew Niccol, Edward S. Feldman, and Adam Schroeder, and written by Niccol.
