(Video) Horrifying Parasites That Control Human Bodies In ‘Splinter’ Movie

Splinter is a 2008 American horror movie directed by Toby Wilkins and starring Shea Whigham, Paulo Costanzo, and Jill Wagner. It was filmed near Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A movie about contagious prickly parasites, growing in human bodies as well as animals and subsequently turning them into zombie versions of thorny hedgehogs. It is indeed so horrifying to see something that is normal like a splinter that could turn people into a zombie that kills.

The movie follows a trapped group of people in an isolated gas station by a voracious and killing splinter parasite that transforms its still-living victims into deadly hosts, a young couple and an escaped convict must find a way to work together to survive this primal terror. The movie is definitely full of tension and also suspense to be watched.

What Splinter Is About

The movie begins with a pair of couples who want to go camping, just the two of them. Because their own tent is damaged and they could not put it up, they decided to stay at a motel. It is unfortunate for them when in the middle of the road, they got stopped by a couple who are on the run from authorities and take them hostage. All kinds of dramas happen on the way until they arrive at a gas station then horrible and scary episodes of horror hit them there.

What Can Be Said About Splinter

Exciting, intense, and also very entertaining. The pace of the movie also is not slow. The scenes that feature survival techniques are also quite alarming. The atmosphere that is created when all of the characters in this particular movie got trapped to avoid the zombie that got transformed because of the parasitic alien called splinter is quite thrilling.
