(Video) Try These Shopping Tips When You Visit A RM2 Store

The majority of individuals all around the world like decent retail therapy. It provides utmost pleasure while also having calming benefits on the brain. The joy of utilizing a new item, the aroma of new shoes, and the feel of new apparel. It’s a rewarding experience.

Forget the fancy malls, in Malaysia, the current growing demand is the popularly known RM2 stores, where you can purchase almost anything for only RM2! This also means that we as buyers might end up spending blindly. When we hear ‘RM2’, we don’t really consider how much we are spending because we think it’s cheap. Hence, instead of buying something we want, we end up buying the entire store if we are allowed to!

Shopping in these stores is great but we should, however, shop cautiously in light of the current economic circumstances. Here are some tips to consider if you happen to shop at any RM2 convenient stores.

1. Don’t take a basket

Grabbing a basket or trolley will only make you want to add more things. As you walk into the RM2 store, trust me, everything is intimidating. The same things you find at regular convenient stores and malls can sometimes be found in these RM2 convenient stores. So, since it is only RM2, you will most likely fill whatever you set your eyes on into your basket. Shopping without a basket or trolley will help minimize your purchase so you only stay within what you are supposed to get.

2. Checklist

The important shopping tip most of us forget. It can be annoying to do so but making a checklist definitely saves your time and money. With a checklist, you will keep your spending within a limit, so you only buy things that you’ve listed out. Not only that, it saves ample time. Instead of browsing through every lane in the convenience store, having a list of items you need will direct you to the particular department or lane where you can find the item you are looking for. It always stops you from being distracted to getting things that you don’t really need.

3. Don’t Get Distracted

Most shoppers get distracted while shopping, especially when they see something colorful or beautiful. Colorful items have a way to attract people simply because they look nice. When you walk into RM2 stores, you can find lots of colorful items ranging from plates to stationaries to hair accessories. It looks intimidating but to think about it, you don’t really need those. A suggested tip is that you wear sunglasses so that you don’t see colors (just joking)!

4. Bring Required Cash Only

I know we need to keep the money just in case of an emergency. But, walking into an RM2 store doesn’t require you to bring a huge amount of cash. By bringing only the required amount, you spend at a minimum. Even if you take more items, you will have to drop them out because you will be short of cash.
