The whole community of Malaysia does no matter the different religions or even races has worked together hand in hand to help all the flood victims that got affected by the recent flood that occurred in this country. Malaysians are making sure that the flood victims are getting the help that they need this time around. Not only the NGO volunteers but also the synagogue committee went to the field to provide for the victims involved. Something to be proud of.
Recently, the followers of each religion donated money and also sweat to help. In fact, Senator Datuk Seri Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri who is also the former Minister of Religious Affairs today had the golden opportunity to visit a gurdwara that provides halal food for flood victims. The visit was actually to fulfill the invitation of the President of Gurdwara Sahib PJ, En. Awatar Singh Terry to see the process of preparing food for all the flood victims there.
Saya mengenali agama Sikh melalui konsep “seva” iaitu khidmat sukarela tanpa mengharapkan sebarang balasan. Dalam Islam, konsep yang sama juga boleh kita temui iaitu “ikhlas”, perbuatan samada ibadah khusus mahupun umum yang dilakukan hanya kerana Allah SWT. pic.twitter.com/qgtXLh4gM7

Clearly, it is permissible for any Muslim to eat food from the non -Muslims who are not members of the Book (ahli kitab) as long as it does not involve their slaughtered animals. Other than that, he also expressed his admiration for the management of the distribution system used by the committee involved in delivering donations to flood victims which were described as organized and professional.
