(Video) The ‘MySJ Trace’, Latest Update of MySejahtera That People Should Know

The MySejahtera app that has been widely used in the country has been updated recently with a new function called MySJ Trace. For those who do not know, the ‘MySJ Trace’ feature is an additional feature that was introduced voluntarily to really assist with contact tracing for all the people who live in this particular country that is Malaysia.

The add-on feature that is ‘MySJ Trace’ would use Bluetooth technology and will now allow easier close contact tracing with those who test positive for Covid-19. In addition, the check-out module is removed from MySejahtera. To ensure the effectiveness of the feature, users are required to activate Bluetooth on their devices at all times.

These are some of the things that you should know when updating your MySejahtera app to have the ‘MySJ Trace’ feature:

  1. ‘MySJ Trace’ uses Bluetooth technology to more accurately determine your proximity to other people.
  2. MySejahtera app can better determine if you are a close contact, or not.
  3. If at any time you do not wish to participate, you can simply disable the permissions, reinstall MySejahtera.
  4. To monitor users’ health conditions and take immediate actions in providing treatments.
  5. When a user is identified to be COVID-19 positive, the user will initiate a process to upload the data from the user’s smartphone to a secured database managed by the MOH.
