Ever Heard of ‘Potato Milk’? Expected To Become A 2022 Best-Seller Health Drink

The creation of potato milk would be definitely a new name that is slowly becoming a healthy trend right now and might be taking the world by storm sooner or later than anyone in this world might think. As the matter of fact, it seems like every day there is going to be a new variation of milk that is claimed to be the softest, tastiest, and healthiest alternative to cow’s milk. The potato milk is clearly one of them and people have been talking about it.

Potatoes that have become a favorite side dish for many, when they got mashed, baked, boiled, or even fried, have added the latest version to become milk. People all over social media also have listed potato milk as a rising trend, following in the footsteps of soy milk, almonds, peas, and also oats that have become so popular for so long already.

One of the biggest attractions of using potato milk is that potatoes are a very sustainable product compared to soy, almonds, oats, or even cow’s milk. Potatoes can easily be grown anywhere and they also do not require much special accommodation to grow, they are twice as land efficient as wheat, they have a very low carbon footprint which is a total 75 percent lower than cow’s milk. Last but not least, potatoes use 56 times less water compared to almonds.

Potato milk can be said to be very soft and makes the perfect foam in coffee. It also works like any other milk and happens to be the most sustainable alternative on the market. If you want to try, you can make it yourself at home.

The Only Brand Commercially Available Potato Milk In The World That Is DUG

Just recently, a Sweden-based company launches the first potato milk brand in the UK market and it is known as DUG. The potato milk is available on Amazon to be purchased but not yet available for shipment outside of Europe. So, probably a lot of people have to wait to know exactly what it tastes like from this brand. As stated on their own website, DUG potato milk is an emulsion of potato and radish oil which is another name for canola oil. It binds the milk together and makes a creamy drink that would not break. The description makes the potato milk to be delicious.

The website also stated that potato milk contains many antioxidants, so much so that it is comparable to blueberries and blackberries. In addition, they claim potatoes contain protein, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and carbohydrates, including the daily requirement of vitamin C in 100 grams of potatoes. Potato milk could be such a healthy drink.
