Japanese Black Widow, Serial Killer Who Killed Partners Using Cyanide

Japanese Black Widow has once made shocking news around the world with her deadly crimes. This elderly woman is called the ‘Black Widow’ due to her act of murdering all of her own partners by using cyanide. That is indeed cruel.

Because of her actions, she got punished on death row in 2017. She has murdered a total of three romantic partners and also a murder attempt of the fourth one. Shockingly, the murders had started in the year 2007. She escaped from being convicted that year. She had lived freely in Japan up until she finally got legally arrested in 2014.

Japanese Black Widow trials

The trials made for this case would probably be the longest one ever (4-months). According to the public broadcaster NHK, “She used a matchmaking agency to get acquainted with elderly victims one after another and poisoned them after making them trust her”. That is indeed the statement said by the judge in the June ruling made for the despiteful old woman.

As stated on the BBC website, the elderly woman has stashed a total of millions in the legacy and protections payouts after harming her own romantic partners with cyanide. All of these happen while they are actually in a relationship.
