Owning your first house is definitely one of many dreams that a lot of people would have. This is also including the people that live in Malaysia. Unfortunately, many people have the wrong mindset about it. They thought that they have to achieve certain things before they are able to own a house. That is indeed a very wrong statement to know.

With the help of Skim Jaminan Kredit Perumahan (SJKP) in Malaysia, people without a paycheck or even those whose minimum salary is RM1K are also able to own their first house. It is a company wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated on the 6th of December 2007. Functions to guarantee the financial facilities to be provided by the financial institutions that are involved in the scheme. This is actually helpful for many people in this country.

Steps on owning your first house

1) Firstly, identify the house that you want to buy.

2) Then, prepare the needed documents.

  • Prepare supporting documents. For example, bank account statements, Business License, Fishermen Registration Card. Any other supporting documents of buying and selling activities and also service activities.
  • For the applicants that do not have a fixed income, obtain an income confirmation letter from an authorized individual that could help.
  • For the applicants that have a fixed salary, bring your own paycheck and EPF statement.

3) In the end, apply to financial institutions that are involved.

  • Bring all the important documents to apply.
