Specialties Blood Donors Get, Eligible For Various Free Treatments

Specialties that a lot of blood donors get might be something that many people still do not know. This has been going on for a long while already. All blood donors who donate at any blood bank in government hospitals are eligible to get various different treatments for free. This is indeed something that the government gives to thanks all of them.

It is already stated. In the Schedule of Privileges for the Treatment of Blood Donors in Health Facilities (Hospitals, Institutions and Health Clinics), MOH Malaysia according to KPK Circular Letter 5/2005. Worth knowing all these.

List of specialties for blood donors

  • 1-time donor
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment (excluding X-ray and surgery fees) and second-class ward for a period of *4 months.
  • 2-times donor (within 12 months)
    • Free Hepatitis B prevention injections
  • 2 to 5 times
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment and second class ward for a period of *4 months.
  • 6 to 10 times
    • Free outpatient treatment for *1 year and second class medical treatment for a period of *6 months.
  • 11 to 15 times
    • Free outpatient treatment for *2 years and medical treatment and second class ward for a period of *1 year.
  • 16 to 20 times
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment and second class ward for a period of *2 years.
  • 21 to 30 times
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment and second class ward for a period of *3 years.
  • 31 to 40 times
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment and first-class ward for a period of *4 years.
  • 41 to 50 times
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment and first-class ward for a period of *6 years.
  • More than 50 times (for Whole blood donors) and More than 150 times (for apheresis donors)
    • Free outpatient treatment and medical treatment and first-class ward for a period of 10 years and second class ward for life after 10 years in the first-class ward.

It is understood that the time period of this privilege is valid from the date of the LAST donation. Don’t forget, you also need to bring and show the certificate book in red to the hospital before being eligible to use these privileges.
