MYSaveFood@Ramadan Project Helps The Needy And Reduce Wastage

MYSaveFood@Ramadan Project is a well-known name. This beneficial project is an alternative to help the needy and also to reduce food wastage at Ramadan bazaars. It is indeed a project undergoing for this holy month of Ramadan.

MYSaveFood Initiative helps to promote a comprehensive and also effective plan to reduce food loss and waste in Malaysia. Their Facebook page has much proof of the effort. To make this effort more efficient for the country, they also collaborated with GEMA Malaysia Youth Organisation. It is actually their sixth year working on the project.

Fakhrul Razi Zainol Abidin who is the captain for MYSaveFood@Ramadan said to Bernama, “This project started in 2016 but it came to a halt in 2020 due to the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) to curb the spread of COVID-19”. He added that they usually donate the food to tahfiz centers, mosques, or homeless people.

For those who might not know, GEMA Malaysia Youth Organisation is a youth organization that strives to generate positive change in the lives of the younger generation. That is why they always accepted volunteers to help them.

This effort gives a lot of benefits to so many other aspects. All other than just helping the needy and also reducing food wastage of course. It also reduces the environmental pollution that might happen because of food wastage. To know more or even have the idea to volunteer, just check out their Facebook page.
