Drawing from their past to map out the future – ASICS SPORTSTYLE announces the Jogger X81™ featuring a reinvented look from ASICS’ archive of classic jogging shoes from the 1980s, with new sartorial elegance.
The Jogger X81™ sneaker draws inspiration from key features of ASICS SPORTSTYLE’S ULTIMATE, SORTIE LYTE GONA, HONOLULU, TIGER ARROW, TIGER PAW TASK X1 and X-CALIBER models. The Cush-Hole design of the Jogger X81™ is updated with larger openings on the outside for better cushioning and smaller holes inside for more advanced stability. Its heel wrap is also shifted to the inside to provide wearers with greater ground contact and smoother transitions when on the go.
Meanwhile, the Jogger X81™ features the same standout feature from ASICS SPORTSTYLE’s HONOLULU jogging shoe – the Caldera sole. This sole references the shape formed by Hawaiian volcanoes after they erupt and collapse. This unique design is intended to help prevent soil from getting stuck in the tread when running off-road.
