The search for Malaysia’s most desirable man has kickstarted with the official reveal of the Top 24 finalists for the Mr World Malaysia 2022 competition presented by Universal Music Malaysia (UM).
The competition aims to unearth new talents and diversify UM’s talent management portfolio under Celebrity360, a talent arm under the company and eventually selecting a winner to represent Malaysia at the prestigious Mr World 2022 competition to be held in the United Kingdom later this year.
“We are excited to reveal very young and talented candidates from a very diverse background including from Sabah and Sarawak. Universal Music Malaysia hopes through projects like Mr World Malaysia, we are able to strengthen our business portfolio and offerings whilst scouting for new talents in a different segment,” said Kim Lim, Managing Director, Universal Music Malaysia.
At the press reveal held at citizenM Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang, members of the media and pageant industry critics were introduced to the 24 men vying for the national title where they comprise from a diverse background of portfolios including doctor, dentist, pharmacist, actor, chef, entrepreneur, barista and fitness trainer to name a few.
Also presented were the main official sponsors for Mr World Malaysia 2022 including JD Sports, Lingtea, Living Young Aesthetics and Cookx while partners include Number76 (hair salon), MakeUp Miracle (Make Up) and Star Fitness (Fitness Centre).
Kim added, “We are glad to welcome sponsors and partners to participate in this very unique event and hope more will come in to enjoy the benefits as a partner leveraging on the Mr World Malaysia program.”
Public can look forward to an up close and personal encounter with all 24 finalists during the meet and greet session which will be held on 28 August at Pavilion Bukit Jalil where engagement activities will be held including a chance to win tickets to the final gala event which is scheduled to be held in September.
