Tom Hardy’s resumé of characters is not short of amazing, from Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, host for the symbiote Venom and other high-intensity characters.
Uniquely, the star recently came into the spotlight when he secretly entered a martial arts tournament and won. The 45-year-old actor entered the 2022 UMAC Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open Championships, winning the gold medal in the process.
Other than that, competitors and spectators were left stunned when Hardy turn up at the school hall in Milton Keynes, England. Hardy, wearing a blue gi (outfit for jiu-jitsu), took the competition by storm and won every match he was in.

Also, Mohamed Itoumaine, a referee and spokeswoman for the tournament’s organiser, Ultimate Martial Arts Championships said “Hardy is a legit blue belt.”
Outstanding performance
“I have over 10 years of experience as a ref and after I first saw him compete at the REORG championship, I knew he would smash it at my competition.”
“It takes dedication and hard work to reach that level. He is technically, physically, and mentally skilled. He is someone that wants to win in the best possible way, which is making his opponent submit and tap out.”
Moreover, Hardy received a certificate presented with his real name “Edward Hardy”

Hardy had preciously joined another tournament back in August. He competed in the REORG Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship where he also won. Itoumaine was the referee for that tournament as well.
“I was really excited and impressed because he told me at the championship that ‘I’m coming to yours next’. And he kept his word,” Itoumaine said.
“It is very hard to get a famous person to come to a local competition because their schedules are so busy.”
Itoumaine hopes that Hardy will be able to join more tournaments in the future.
