Worn During Malaysia FA Cup Final, The Price of TMJ’s Watch Is Over RM400k

A special watch for a special day. Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) succeeded in repeating their 2016 success last Saturday after they managed to defeat Terengganu FC in a 3-1 win to hoist the Malaysia FA cup.

JDT owner, HRH Major General Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim (TMJ), saw his team win the cup final.  But, what caught the eyes of many people is the fashion accessory that he was wearing on his wrist.

@insaneluxurylife, an Instagram account that focuses on custom-made watches high-profile people around the world wear, posted a picture of TMJ celebrating the FA Cup win wearing an exclusive watch.

According to @insaneluxurylife,  TMJ was spotted wearing an exclusive Daytona ‘Johor Edition’ in sapphire. The watch’s case is in sapphire crystal, one of the hardest materials to work with. @aet_remould custom-make the watch for the Johor Royal Family and features the Johor state flag.

The watch also has JDT’s team crest in the centre, with a tiger in JDT’s main colour of red and blue. In addition to that, you can see the team’s name between 4 and 5 o’clock on the subdials.

As stated by the AET Remould website, the price tag of the watch is $97,700 or RM441,897 and is limited to only five pieces worldwide.

AET Remould is famous for making unique timepieces using innovative materials. Their focus is on making custom modifications to famous watches such as Patek Phillipe, Richard Mille and Daytona.
